This short course aims to demystify Transcutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation (TTNS) and give you the understanding and skills to confidently start using it in clinic with your patients.
Participants of this class will:
- Understand the principles of tibial nerve stimulation
- Learn how to set up TTNS
- How to use clinical reasoning to determine if TTNS is appropriate for your patient
- Learn which conditions have evidence base for using TTNS
About your instructor:
Fiona Rogers is a Physiotherapist with a post grad in exercise and sports science and 42 years of experience across public, private and defence health settings. She has spent the last 28 years in the field of pelvic health. She currently consults part time in a private multi- disciplinary pain clinic seeing persistent pelvic pain patients.
For many years she owned the website Pelvic Floor Exercise, filling the role of clinical director, gaining invaluable knowledge on products and their use which led to her Pelvic Health Product Podcast as well as current consultancy roles.
Always passionate about teaching, Fiona started as a university student clinical supervisor and then, as a partner in a large group of private practices, she mentored new clinicians. She now teaches and tutors on the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s pelvic health pathways alongside running courses privately under her company Pelvic Floor Education with Fiona Rogers.
Fiona has published several peer reviewed papers in the electrical stimulation field and is frequently asked to speak on this topic at courses and conferences.
