Pelvic health providers have known the US maternal health crisis is real and has been growing for years! Every day, more people outside our specialty are waking up to what the reality of becoming a parent is to so many individuals. With this growing realization, early postpartum physical and occupational therapy is a rapidly expanding service that more and more hospitals, home health agencies and outpatient clinics all over the country are offering. The care we can provide immediately after birth is life changing and even life-saving.
