This class is designed to give physical and occupational therapists the tools and confidence to treat patients dealing with clogged milk ducts and mastitis. We’ll break down the pathophysiology, clinical signs, and when it’s time to refer out. You’ll learn evidence-based, hands-on techniques including vagus nerve stimulation to support the parasympathetic nervous system, manual therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, and kinesiology taping. We’ll also cover how to provide meaningful patient education and promote a collaborative care model alongside lactation consultants, OB/GYNs, and other healthcare providers.
